For the first time in Puerto Rico’s history, the cities of Ponce and Caguas together will welcome eight elite Division 1 collegiate baseball teams to play in the inaugural Puerto Rico Challenge. The teams will be divided into two divisions, Ponce and Caguas. Each team will play three games, one game against each team in their division. Michigan and Stetson will play an additional fourth game in Caguas on Monday, February 17, 2025.

Rice University is in the Ponce division along with Villanova University, University of Michigan, and Unversity of Virginia.  Rice will play one game each day, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Caguas.

The Puerto Rico Challenge Fan Travel Package will include 4 nights accommodations at your choice of hotel, tickets to all 3 games, a merchandise gift, admission to a welcome party including food, beverages and appearances by select, former MLB players and coaches.
